An extremely rainy day at the end of the stage today in Lavaur brought back the breakaway into the peleton.
Team HTC led out Mark Cavendish to his third stage win of the 2011 tour and his eighteenth in total. Cavendish reversed the previous day’s result with Greipel and as Philippe Gilbert did not finish in the points at the end Mark Cavendish is now the leader of the Green Jersey.
